Getting your product listings ready for Black Friday? It’s time to step it up a notch as Amazon announces its new Prime Early Access Sale – a new two-day shopping event exclusive to Prime members – taking place on 11-12th October.
Unveiled by Amazon this week, the Prime Early Access Sale gives members a chance to kick off the festive shopping season early with hundreds of thousands of deals globally, including fashion and electronics, food and drink, pet care, toys and everyday essentials.
The event begins 11th October at 12am BST and runs through 12th October in 15 countries: Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the UK, and the US.
Taking place six weeks ahead of Black Friday, this new, exclusive Prime benefit aims to provide an additional opportunity for members to buy what they need, for less, while helping to spread out their seasonal spending.
What does this mean for Amazon sellers?
The Q4 selling season starts now and promotional plans and product listings need to be ready – with even more opportunity to amplify sales this festive season.
The news on this two-day shopping event follows an earlier announcement Amazon made with the following Q4 shopping insights:
- 49.4% of surveyed shoppers will start shopping as early as October
- 19.8% of shoppers surveyed are likely or highly likely to be concerned about out of stock issues
- 45.9% of shoppers surveyed are likely or highly likely to purchase new products or brands because what they normally buy is out of stock
